Historical Context
The L26 was marketed as the "Decade" model, celebrating ten years of JBL's consumer speaker success since the introduction of the L100. It shared DNA with the larger L-series models but in a more compact, affordable package suitable for smaller rooms or as surround speakers in larger systems.
Despite being an entry-level model, the L26 maintained JBL's philosophy of using quality drivers and solid cabinet construction. The LE10A woofer was a proven design that appeared in many JBL systems, and the LE25 tweeter provided extended high-frequency response.
